Cashmere & Alpaca Fabrics

Cashmere fabric is a luxury textile made from the fine undercoat of cashmere goats. The fibers are carefully collected during the natural moulting season, then cleaned, spun into yarn and woven into fabric, creating a lightweight, insulating and exceptionally soft material.

Cashmere comes from goats raised in regions with extreme cold climates, such as Mongolia, China and Central Asia. These harsh conditions produce the fine, insulating fibers that give cashmere its signature warmth and softness. Each spring, the goats naturally moult and are gently brushed to gather the fine underfleece.

Alpaca fabric is made from the fleece of alpacas. The fibers are shorn, cleaned and spun into yarn before being woven into fabric. Alpaca is valued for its strength, natural insulation and smooth, soft texture.

Both fibers combine warmth, breathability and a refined tactile quality. Their soft handle, durability and subtle natural tones make them well suited to upholstery, drapery, cushions and bespoke interior applications.

Both fibers are exceptionally fine, often finer than human hair, allowing them to be spun into smooth, lightweight yarns. This creates fabrics with a soft, gentle handle and a luxurious feel.
