Walpole announces the 50 Most Influential People in British Luxury in 2023

The fourth-annual Walpole Power List named Bernie de Le Cuona as one of 50 individuals who are the most influential in British luxury. Bernie is recognised for her tireless work on sustainability and championing initiatives that future-proof the brand legacy of de Le Cuona and other brands working equally hard in this space.

Bernie de Le Cuona, Founder and CEO of de Le Cuona

When hearing of this award, Bernie de Le Cuona said "I am thrilled and honoured that Walpole has recognised me in their 2023 Power List as an individual who is a guardian of brand legacy, future-proofing businesses with sustainable initiatives. This is something I am passionate about and I would like to take this opportunity to thank Walpole for this prestigious honour and all of my team at de Le Cuona that work tirelessly to keep us moving forward to meet my ambitions in this area."

Bernie de Le Cuona is the founder and CEO of de Le Cuona. She heads the business and its creative direction, overseeing all elements of the business. Her passion and vision for bringing a new approach to natural fabrics began in 1992 when she founded the business and remains unique to the industry today. Rooted in Nature is the brand ethos and only the noblest natural fibres and best specialist mills are used to responsibly craft linen, silk, and wool fabrics with the greatest care and attention to detail through every step of the process. A trailblazer who is passionate about sustainability and conservation, Bernie was the first to launch a 100% organic linen collection certified to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) in this sector. Investment in the award-winning Pure GOTS collection established Bernie as a leader in this field and this is the second time Walpole has recognised Bernie for her achievements in driving forward sustainable initiatives.
